We all have dreams about what we are going to do or be when we "grow up". Some want to be actors, others civil rights leaders and many want to just make money doing what they are most skilled at. Thinking about it how many of us truly make our dreams a reality? How many of us work towards our short and long term goals and actually complete them? Not many do. Many give up and compromise for mediocre jobs. Many forget their dreams their vision ,and this is so because they lack the drive, the power , the self-confidence , knowledge , motivation , flexibility and integrity.
Personally i do have visions for the future. I have made a promise to myself that i will never lose sight of what it is that i want to achieve and what goals and accomplishment i wish to attain in the future. Some of my visions are as follow:

@ I want to make corporate office as a sales trainer for the company i currently work at . Educating new hires about products and services that are currently being provided not only to our customers but also the benefits that are in in for us the employees.
(b). I want to have a greater participation / role in helping those who are in need. I would like to be the supervisor /manager of a non profit organization that helps increase awareness of many in need. For example.: help in providing homeless or nearly homeless individuals in finding homes, jobs and maintaining socially acceptable lifestyles . Finding companys that will help aid projects that can help do this for those who are less fortunate.
Knowing that i am quite distant from my visions, i know that there are certain steps i must surpass before getting "my feet wet". The one most important thing i need to commit to , in order for my visions (actualization of dreams) to become a reality , i would obtain a career postion within a company or orgnization that will allow me to develop the major skills needed in order for me to be successful in all of my visions. Even though the three visions listed above seem a little different they all share one thing in common... these are all visions that will have actions. I will have charisma, and have transactional and transformal leadership that will lead me to my success. Being a utilitarian will be my work. !!For the people by the people. (Corny HaHa)

im glad to see you understand what needs to be done to attain your goals. Somethimes the answer isnt so clear. But a game plan is critical to enacting a vision. Because than it would just be a dream. I remember those days when i was young and had all thos wild dreams and visions as to what i would be when i grew up. The scary part is that now, its time to act. Our everyday actions can be critical to our dreams at this point in life. I hope you do all that you set out for. Remember its all in your grasp.
Your visions are the most specific I have read so far in the blogs I have visited, and your actions seem to follow your visions clearly. I hope that when I start at a firm I feel I can grow in, I will have as specific goals to move up as you do. So far I'm only interning, and in this particular job, have no where to move up.
I see I am not the only one in this class that wants to help others that are less fortunate. It's comforting to see! You should consider volunteering, and lending a hand starting now, even for a day, because even the smallest of efforts will add up.
When I read the bit about the educator, I immediately thought of Kurpis. It's another way to give back, especially if you like teaching. I used to be a math tutor, and up to date, it is the most rewarding job I have ever had.
You seem to be going places, and I wish you lots of good luck. Maybe we'll bump into eachother saving the world in the future.
I think it's great that you have already found where you want to work and know exactly where you want to be in the years to come. What I also learned about you from reading this blog is that you seem to love giving back to society which is great. People tend to lose sight of what's really important and constantly go after the amount of money they'll be making. Ethics have become so important this century and with people like you who want to help promote and offer help to those in need will help set examples to the younger generation. I'm a little different in a way in that my greatest desire is to inspire people and help them realize their true potential and what their abilities allow them to do instead.
Your visions are very clear and certainly reachable. All three of them involve providing great social services, which I am glad there is a utilitarian like you in our society who is voluntarily willing to help others. Because you three goals are very similar to each other career-wise, I would support you in doing any of the three because I think all of them would make an equal great benefit for society.
You seem to have quite the good heart, you want to educate and help the community instead of only just taking everything that the community has to offer. I admire that, not a lot of people remember to give back or to help those who are in need. People have become a little power hungry, ruled by power but you have stayed humble. Your goals are detailed and with a little commitment, I'm sure that you'll accomplish them all.
I believe all of your visions for the future are very noble. The one that stands out to me the most is your vision of helping others in need. People are usually apathetic about situations that do not concern them but I can see that you are not that way. You wanting to help the homeless will provide you with intrinsic good, and that kind of thing is priceless. Good luck!
It seems like you've roughly outlined a good portion of your career. You already know where you want to be in a few years and you know how to do it. What's even better is that you're already in the company that you want to grow in. I wish you luck in getting the position you want. Then, besides your business career, you've set other goals in helping others. As long as you keep striving for it, I'm sure you'll be able to do it.
I love how selfless all of your visions are. It's really great that you are so concerned about bettering others' lives. I particularly like your non-profit organization -it's so sad how many people are homeless or barely making it and yet have so much potential but lack the helping hand necessary to make it. Your organization would definitely make a difference and I hope that is one vision you never lose sight of. Good Luck!
hey, its me again in response to your comment. Better late than never. Dont worry, i wont forget to prioritize whats important. I know that money doesnt necessarily mean happiness. My highest priority in the future would be my family because when asked whats its all for, my respnse is its all for them :)
